RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults)

The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) or Catechumenate is the process by which people can question, search, and inquire into the Catholic faith. It is a journey which leads many to seek full membership in our Church. Either way, all are welcome to come and see, to ask questions, and to look more deeply.

A Catechumenate is for any unbaptized adult who is new to the Catholic faith or any unbaptized child usually over the age of 7, or any adult or child over the age of 7 who was baptized in another Christian tradition, as well as baptized Catholic adults seeking to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation.

The process begins in September and ends at the Easter Vigil Mass.
